Start w/ a Blog...End w/ a Blog

I started the week with a blog, so I suspect I'll finish it with a blog. Well, the work week that is. The transition has been a smooth one. Hit all of the workouts so far this week.

Monday - active recovery swim and easy run.
Tuesday - 2xRun w/ an ez morning run and a short PM brick run off the bike after a set of LT intervals.
Wednesday - Long aerobic swim and active recovery ride.
Thursday - Hard run and hard LT/LT+ bike workout.
Friday - Solid swim in the AM, no PM workout.

The weekend will likely be long ride and run on Saturday and Sunday with some other stuff sprinkled in there.

I generally don't feel like it is a problem to swim hard on the days after a hard bike/run/both. While the argument can be made that you are still taxing the aerobic system, it's different. I almost see those hard swim days - whether they are 3k or 6k long as a sort of 'recovery' day. It's a view I've had for a long time. A friend of mine who is an accomplished pro also holds a similar view.

That about covers it. Not a whole lot of news this week. Next race is Clearwater...but you already knew that. Maybe I'll have some news of some sort after the weekend...and I'm not trying to foreshadow at all. Oh yeah, and I'll probably vote this evening.
