Billy Might Like This One

We swim at UT. That is to say that we swim with the Longhorn Aquatics Masters program that makes its home at the University of Texas.

Can someone tell me why the lights at DKR are on a 6am when no one is using the field? Not some of the lights, but all of the lights. How do we know that no one is using the field. Because all of the lights, not some of the lights, are on at the practice field about 1000 meters up the road. Granted, there are only about 1/2 the number of lights at the practice field, but still. Those are the lights at the outdoor practice field...I'm not counting the lights in the bubble covered indoor practice field.

But the lights on at the practice field are not how we know they are not using the field at DKR. The chartered buses full of white and burnt orange jerseys going from DKR to the practice field are how we know that the field at DKR is not being used. You read that right, chartered buses. Not yellow-dog school buses, not buses with any indication that they belong to UT, but buses that clearly say chartered on the front.

Chartered buses for practice brings up a whole other set of questions! I'm sure I'm missing something and it is a worthwhile use of $$. Or perhaps it's that an alumni is donating the use of the buses as a tax write off. Whatever.

With a graduation rate that stands just below 30%...maybe the players need the ride...cause they can't find the field on their own? ....the say something like...if you miss the giant bus in front of your dorm walk toward the big bright lights and we will find you? ? ?
